The Province of Cuneo is called Provincia Granda since it is 7000 km2 wide. It will fascinate you because it gives you the possibility to live in contact with nature: it is characterised by a wide range of landscapes, from the high mountains, green in summer because of the lush vegetation and white in winter because of the snow, to the hills of Langhe and Roero, with their long rows of vineyards, to the plain full with big and little towns, surrounded by areas where the ancient traditions (of agriculture, fruit farming, breeding and craft) are still alive.
The province lies in the south-west part of Piedmont. Its shape is similar to an ellipse and looks like an amphitheatre whose centre and steps are the plain and the Alps and the hills of the Langhe.
The middle of the province is plain and is surrounded by the Alps and by the hills of the Langhe and Roero which form a chain ending in Turin.
The Provincia Granda is a casket containing places full of history, traditions and beauties of nature for those who love culture and art, sport and nature, enogastronomy and well-being. It is a territory characterised by many perfumes and tastes. The century-old culinary traditions are widespread and were influenced by France, Ligury and the Aosta Valley.
